Walk/Hike:
Take a hike and explore the natural beauty of the surrounding Allegheny Mountains! In the summer you are free to pick the blackberries and raspberries as they ripen. Catching fireflies is also a big hit throughout the summer! Trough Creek State Park is minutes away with biking and walking trails that go on for miles. Enjoy the wildlife too, as white tailed dear and turkeys abound in this region.
Investigate Our Pond:
Our pond is well-stocked with goldfish. Help the kids with some catch-and-release, or just feed the fish with breadcrumbs. Many of our smaller guests just enjoy walking around the edge to see how many frogs they can find. In the winter, bring along the ice skates and sleds for some old-fashioned fun!
Swim in the Pool:
Our beautiful lighted in-ground pool is open daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We have several sets of tables and chairs around the edge. Feel free to bring your own pool toys.
Practice Your Horseshoe Skills:
We have permanent pits near the Lodge pavilion
Water Activities:
Lake Raystown is less than 5 miles away, with many spots for fishing, swimming, sunbathing, or putting the boats and jet skis in the water for some high-powered fun!
Do the Unexpected:
Wake up at dawn to watch the sun rise, hike up the mountainside, rock in the swing, or just practice the fine art of napping on one of the many couches in the lodge.
See the Sites:
If you want to travel a little further from the lodge, check out the Huntingdon County Visitor’s Bureau for upcoming events in the area. Also check out the Local Recreation page for a list of area attractions.
For the enjoyment and safety of all, the use of fireworks, firearms, and ATVs are strictly prohibit.
